Karen Wetzel
Karen Wetzel started her long-standing career in the wine industry as a sales rep for a distributor in Ohio, then as a Director of Wine Education for Constellation Brands. In 2019 she joined forces with The Napa Valley Wine Academy as an instructor, content developer, writer, and host of the Wine, Work & Passion podcast. Today, under the banner of Karen Wetzel Consulting, she works with wineries and wine suppliers to provide staff training & education, content development, and secret shopper services. In addition, she offers private one-on-one career coaching to help others follow their passion for wine and join the industry.
Amy Gardner
Amy founded WineTalent in 2004 to provide personalized recruitment services to the wine industry. Amy’s experience is also heavily rooted in human resources. Prior to founding WineTalent, she was responsible for the recruitment and management of over 1,000 technical professionals. As an employer, Amy stayed on top of employment law. This knowledge has been invaluable to her clients. With the founding of WineTalent, Amy has continued to be involved with employment and personnel issues. By being knowledgeable in fair employment practices, Amy is able to address issues and provide solutions to her clients.
Mason Sheya
Mason brings a fresh perspective on the future of wine as she graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Wine and Viticulture Business and a minor in Agricultural Business. Her background is in Wine Sales and Distribution, but her true career interest is in Creative Marketing and Brand Management. With an extreme priority for organization, she is Meghan’s right hand and supports the Operations and Business Development Team. Clarksburg, CA is her childhood home, so Mason’s connection to winemaking, family and hospitality is strong. She enjoys hosting and event planning when she’s not traveling around the world. Mason also has a passion for “the art of noticing”. Noticing details that are expressed in her photography style and showcase the simplicity of life with natural beauty. Some of her personal goals include being immersed in 30 countries by age 30, becoming a Cycle instructor (She is an ACTIVE woman!!) and continuing her education with WSET.
